One of our most popular items is the Tiramisu, which has been hailed as the best in San Francisco by many of our customers. Made with a vanilla sponge cake soaked in espresso and rum, and layered with mascarpone cream, this classic Italian dessert is a heavenly delight. The strong coffee flavor and perfectly balanced sweetness make it a true standout.
Another must-try is our Sacripantina Sponge, a delightful creation soaked with rum and filled with zabaione cream. Its light and airy texture combined with the indulgent flavors make it a favorite among our patrons. For chocolate lovers, the Fedora Slice is an absolute treat, with its devil's food cake soaked with rum and filled with Italian pastry cream and fresh whipped cream, topped with chocolate shavings.
Aside from these star attractions, we also offer a wide range of other pastries and cakes that are sure to please. From the crisp Cannoli filled with slightly sweetened ricotta filling and chocolate chips to the rich and tangy Plain Cheesecake, there is something for every palate. Our bakery also takes pride in offering a selection of cookies by the pound, with an assortment that will leave you wanting more.

But don't just take my word for it - our customers have raved about their experiences at Stella Pastry & Cafe as well. Jay F. describes our Tiramisu and Sacripantina as 5-star offerings, while Rufina K. was impressed with the perfectly balanced flavors of our cake slice. Tiramisu and Sacripantina! These alone make Stella Pastry & Cafe 5 stars! Parking is a challenge. The other pastries we ordered were just ok. But they arguably have the best Tiramisu ever in SF!

Loved the cake slice I got. It was not overly sweet and just perfect. The cookies are excellent as well. Will come back to this place again.

Love love love~
This is my go-to-place for Tiramisu in SF.
I have been here multiple times, dine in or take out .
tiramisu is what I would order for the table . Their tiramisu is not too sweet and very strong coffee flavor that you expect from a tiramisu. There is just one time that the tiramisu taste a bit watery than creamy, so need to try it another time.
Shout out to their Choco Truffle that is so intense in chocolate flavor and creamy and smooth !
Other than that, I found their cheesecake surprisingly yummy as well. I like them tangy and fruity.

Felt welcomed, not rushed. I asked for the worker's opinion. Great price for such great product. Hubby and I shared a slice of the chocolate truffle cake and ordered cookies. We ate the cake here and it was rich, but not over the top, and we originally took our other items in a box, tied with string, to go. Both my husband and I agree that the heart shaped butter cookie with chocolate was our favorite cookie there. He also really enjoyed the horseshoes and florentine, and Ossi Di Morto (they have a biscotti type texture) cookies.
The sign outside may be slightly misleading because inside the tile floor is level and not cracked at all, the walls look clean and almost freshly painted. The tables and chairs are also in good condition. It's well lit with lights on fans as well as track lights.

Great pastries, great people, great location, buy your coffee at Caffe Trieste. I stay often at Hotel Boheme, and if you fall down the precipitous stairs of Hotel Boheme, you practically land face first in an elephant's ear at Stellas...

Found this bakery on my quest to find a spongy strawberry shortcake. It was light and really spongy! The cream was slightly dense but still great. The service was quick and there were plenty of options to choose from. The tiramisu looked great too! It wasn't very busy when I went on a random Thursday afternoon. There's space and tables to sit and eat as well.

ordered the truffle cake for a birthday and it was so delicious, it was very rich but great quality

My friend and I walked by this spot and really wanted a cream puff so we just had to stop by. It's a cute bakery with lots of little pastry and cake options. We came by on a Sunday evening, and there was a bit of a line but we were able to snag a seat.
We ended up getting a Cannoli and a Cream Puff. The cream puff was just okay -- it was honestly just a little bit on the mushy side, though they did not skimp out on the cream. The cannoli was great. I feel like there's usually not much to cannolis but this one had the perfect ratio of chocolate chips and the filling wasn't too sweet.

This is one of the best tiramisu, my friend had the tiramisu style, but without the coffee. Both are really good. I will definitely come back and try other pastries.
